Welcome to a new school year, Pirates! Please join us for our 2021-2022 orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 25, in the school cafeteria. The schedule for each grade level is:
- Grade 9: 8 a.m. to noon
- Grade 10: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
- Grade 11: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Grade 12: 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
At orientation, ninth grade scholars will participate in LINK, a program that strives to make the transition from middle school to high school a positive one. Seniors and juniors will be serving as leaders and mentors to the freshmen students. Large and small group activities are designed to address students' needs and concerns in an enjoyable manner. Because the event is quite active, ninth graders are encouraged to keep their backpacks, purses and other similar items at home, and to wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement.
All students in grades 9-12 will have their pictures taken and will receive tentative schedules at orientation. We will also have informational tables set up in the cafeteria from various departments, including Nutrition Services, Health Services, School Counseling, Special Education, English Learners (EL), activities and more. Students who are new to Park Center will receive a folder that contains important information about the school year.
